Meet Mimi

Established in 2001, Mimi Pineau Design creates high-end residential interiors with a tailored, modern edge and imbued with comfort, quality and beauty. With a background in the performing arts, Mimi brings artistry and a rigorous attention to detail to every Mimi Pineau Design project. The Toronto-based design studio is known for an adept use of colour and pattern, and custom design solutions that are unique to every client. Mimi’s calm and pleasant demeanour make her a pleasure to work with for clients, collaborating trades and artisans alike. Each Mimi Pineau Design project follows a streamlined phased design process to ensure smooth and timely progression, a superior and low-stress client experience, and beautiful finished rooms. The studio creates city and country residences, with specialties in the sensitive modernization of historic homes, condo design, and kitchen and bathroom renovations. Mimi is a former professional ballet dancer and is fluently bilingual (English/French). She’s an oenophile, with a preference for the wines of Bordeaux, and lives in Toronto with her family.

Achievements & Accreditations

Mimi is a graduate of the International Academy of Design, and a registered member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) and Interior Designers of Canada (IDC). She has earned the esteemed NCIDQ certification, the North American standard of qualification for interior designers. In addition to her design practice, Mimi has also been a frequent guest designer on HGTV’s ​Home To Go, ​Love by Design, and ​This Small Space, and Ô Chalet on Unis TV. Her designs have been featured in House & Home and ​Style at Home, Canada's two leading design publications.
